Professor Frank Speaks at Environmental Law Institute Training
On March 16, Professor of Environmental Practice Richard Frank ’74 spoke to the Environmental Law Institute’s Environmental Law Boot Camp in San Francisco. The annual ELI event is designed to provide comprehensive training to newly admitted environmental lawyers, as well as more seasoned attorneys seeking to transition to an environmental law practice.
Professor Frank’s presentation was entitled, “Public Land Law & Energy Siting on Public Lands.” His talk provided an overview of American law governing public land management over the nation’s history; the particular challenges and opportunities involving siting of both conventional and renewable energy projects on public lands; and how federal public lands policies are likely to change in the Trump Administration.
Frank is a leader in the field of environmental law and the founding Director of the California Environmental Law and Policy Center at UC Davis School of Law.
