Kathryn Doi ’85 to Serve as Vice President of California New Motor Vehicle Board Vice President
The California New Motor Vehicle Board (NMVB) has announced that Kathryn Doi ’85 has been elected as its Vice President. She will help to lead a program that resolves disputes between consumers and new motor vehicle dealers, manufacturers, or distributors. In addition, the NMVB operates in a quasi-judicial capacity to resolve disagreements between various industry entities.
Doi is a Public Member of NMVB who also serves on the Board’s Policy and Procedure Committee. She was appointed by Governor Jerry Brown in September 2013 and recently reappointed. She is a partner in the Sacramento business law firm of Hanson Bridgett LLP, where she represents healthcare providers in reimbursement matters. She is also an AV Peer Review Rated attorney, the highest rating given by Martindale-Hubbell for legal ability and ethical standards. She was named Northern California Super Lawyer in 2004 and 2011 to 2016.
