Professor Frank Quoted in PBS Report on California Water Politics
Professor of Environmental Practice Richard Frank ’74 is quoted in a PBS Newshour report on water politics in California. The election of President Trump may mean more political clout for farmers in the Central Valley as they seek to assert their claims to water from state-controlled systems, the article notes.
“Twenty or 30 years ago, the press always wrote about northern California versus southern California,” said Frank. “That’s an outdated model. If there are two Californias, they are coastal California and inland California. The Central Valley really is Trump country.”
Frank is a leader in the field of environmental law and the founding Director of the California Environmental Law and Policy Center at UC Davis School of Law.
