Professors Horton, Chandrasekher Honored with Mangano Dispute Resolution Advancement Award
“After the Revolution: An Empirical Study of Consumer Arbitration,” an article by Professors David Horton and Andrea Chandrasekher, has earned the 2017 Mangano Dispute Resolution Advancement Award. This is the second consecutive year that the honor has gone to members of the UC Davis faculty, with last year’s award having gone to Professor Donna Shestowsky.
The $5000 annual award recognizes scholars whose published empirical research has furthered the advancement and understanding of the values and skills of dispute resolution. It is chosen by a committee of St. John’s University faculty.
“It’s a tremendous honor to receive this award,” Professor Horton said in a St. John’s press release. “I’m very familiar with the caliber of the previous papers that have been selected, and it’s thrilling and flattering to be associated with them.”
“It’s such a privilege to be recognized for our empirical work on consumer arbitration. I am humbled by this honor,” said Professor Chandrasekher.
