Professor Frank Comments for Los Angeles Times on Environmental Laws and Border Wall
Professor of Environmental Practice Richard Frank ’74 commented for the Los Angeles Times on a bill by California State Senator Ricardo Lara that aims to force a statewide public vote on President Donald Trump’s plan to build a wall across the Mexican border. Frank said the bill was unlikely to have much impact on the administration’s plans.
“I don’t think it would have any binding effect on what the federal government would choose to do,” Frank said.
Frank is a leader in the field of environmental law and the founding Director of the California Environmental Law and Policy Center at UC Davis School of Law.
