Professor Frank Comments for KCRA-3 on Trump and EPA Contract Freeze
Professor of Environmental Practice Richard Frank ’74 commented for Sacramento television station KCRA-3 on President Trump’s executive order barring U.S. Environmental Protection Agency staff from awarding new contracts or grants.
Professor Frank said that if the federal funding remains tied up for a significant period of time, it could impact flood control efforts in the Sacramento area.
"If those funds are unavailable, I think it really presents a long-term, and maybe short-term, threat to the health and safety of the Sacramento metropolitan area," he said.
Frank is a leader in the field of environmental law and the founding Director of the California Environmental Law and Policy Center at UC Davis School of Law.
