Visiting Professor Steven Nam Cited in Huffington Post

Research by Visiting Professor Steven Nam is cited in a recent article by Michael W. Doyle, Director of the Global Policy Initiative and Columbia University professor, published in the Huffington Post. Titled "Overcoming the Refugee Obstacle Course," the article cites research by Nam and Doyle calculating how to properly share the burden of the Syrian refugee crisis among nations.

"Steven Nam, a colleague in the Global Policy Initiative and professor of law at UC Davis, and I have calculated that the US share of the latest 120,000 asylum seekers to Europe, applying the EU formula to the top 40 GDP countries, would be 8,726 individuals, a totally manageable number. China would have a quota of 8,035 and Japan, 4,616," writes Doyle.

Steven Nam teaches Antitrust. A former attorney at Jones Day in New York City, Nam holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School and has been a Visiting Fellow at Columbia Business School.
