Professor Dodge Writes About International Human Rights Cases for Just Security Blog

Professor William S. Dodge has published a post, "Will Filartiga Survive?" on Just Security, a leading national security blog.  The post concerns the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit 1980 decision in the international human rights case Filartiga v. Pena-Irala and how similar cases are likely to be decided following the U.S. Supreme Court's 2013 ruling in Kiobel v. Royal Dutch Petroleum Co.

Professor Dodge is an influential international law scholar. He serves as a Co-Reporter for the American Law Institute's Restatement (Fourth) of Foreign Relations Law: Jurisdiction and as a member of the State Department's Advisory Committee on International Law. He is a co-author of the casebook Transnational Business Problems and a co-editor of International Law in the U.S. Supreme Court: Continuity and Change, which won the American Society of International Law's 2012 certificate of merit. He has authored more than 40 other publications in books and law reviews.
