Professor Bennoune Quoted in Kenya Sunday Standard

Professor Karima Bennoune was quoted in the Kenya Sunday Standard as part of the newspaper's coverage of the conference on "Countering Violent Extremism" hosted by the University of Nairobi on June 29.  The Standard referenced Professor Bennoune's statements at the conference regarding the international community's failure to respond to and learn from the widespread terrorism that occurred in countries like Algeria in the 1990s.

"International solidarity is important when fighting violent extremism," she advised.
