Professor Joslin Comments for WalletHub on State and Federal Accommodations for Working Mothers

Professor Courtney Joslin commented on the ability of state and local governments to support working mothers in a WalletHub report on "Best & Worst States for Working Moms."

Professor Joslin pointed out that some states, including California, have taken steps to augment the protections offered to working parents under the federal Family Medical Leave Act. She also noted that the Supreme Court recently held that employers may be required to provide accommodations to pregnant workers under Title VII.

Professor Joslin is a scholar in the field of family and relationship recognition, with a particular focus on same-sex and non-marital couples.
