Professor Joo Comments on Silicon Valley and Diversity for San Francisco Chronicle

Professor Thomas Joo commented for the San Francisco Chronicle on diversity goals and Silicon Valley companies. Google, Facebook, Yahoo and LinkedIn recently issued reports saying they need more women and minorities in the workforce, and some have suggested that executive compensation should be linked to diversity goals.

"If you're serious about anything, you use money as leverage," said Thomas Joo, a law professor at UC Davis who specializes in corporate governance. "Money is always something that can always be used as pressure."

Joo, a professor at UC Davis School of Law, specializes in the areas of corporate governance and race and the law.
