Irene Williams '14 Profiled in Davis Enterprise

Irene Williams '14 was the subject of a profile in the Davis Enterprise. The article, published May 16, describes how Williams grew up in public housing in a poor neighborhood in Houston, Texas, yet overcame adversity and others' preconceptions to achieve her dream of becoming a lawyer.

As a student Williams has been an active member of the King Hall community, serving as vice chair of the Black Law Students Association, helping to organize the first King Hall Black Alumni Reunion, and winning the King Hall Alumni Association Award (along with co-recipient Elise Weinberg '14). She was the student speaker at the Class of 2014 Commencement Ceremony.
