Ninth Circuit Grants Petition For Rehearing En Banc Where Immigration Law Clinic Filed Amicus Brief

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has granted en banc review in Mondaca-Vega v. Holder, an important citizenship case in which the UC Davis School of Law Immigration Law Clinic filed an amicus brief.  The issue to be determined is what standard of review will be applied in appellate review of the government's attempts to denaturalize United States citizens. The amicus brief was authored by Immigration Law Clinic Staff Attorney Holly Cooper, Andrea Wu '15, and Kevin Dubrall '15 in collaboration with lead counsel Matt Adams of Northwest Immigrant Rights Project as well as the National Immigrant Justice Center and American Immigration Lawyers Association.
