Professor Villazor Comments on Faculty Tenure for Daily Journal

Professor Rose Cuison Villazor commented for the Daily Journal on a letter signed by more than 500 law professors around the country opposing proposals from the American Bar Association to scale back a requirement that schools offer tenure to most faculty. Though some suggest that current ABA standards do not require a tenure system, Villazor states that this is not her understanding of the ABA rule or how it has been interpreted.

Professor Rose Cuison Villazor joined the UC Davis faculty in 2012 from the Maurice A. Deane Law School at Hofstra University.  She has also taught at Columbia Law School and the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.  Professor Villazor teaches and writes in the areas of property law, immigration law, race, and citizenship.
