King Hall Students Receive Scholarships at Unity Bar Dinner
Two King hall students, Linda Sobczynski '15 and Anna von Herrmann '14, received scholarships at the Unity Bar Association of Sacramento 2013 Unity Bar Dinner in Sacramento on October 17. Sobczynski was awarded a scholarship from the Leonard M. Friedman Bar Association, and von Herrmann was honored by Sacramento Lawyers for the Equality of Gays and Lesbians.
A unique organization composed of the Asian/Pacific Bar Association of Sacramento (ABAS), the La Raza Lawyers Association of Sacramento, the Wiley Manuel Bar Association, Women Lawyers of Sacramento, the South Asian Bar Association, and Sacramento Lawyers for the Equality of Gays and Lesbians (SACLEGAL), the Unity Bar Association holds its annual dinner to honor outstanding public service and present student scholarships.
The 2013 event included a keynote address from Vikram Amar, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor of Law at King Hall. Numerous King Hall alumni were in attendance, as well as faculty including Hollis Kulwin, Senior Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, and Professors Cruz Reynoso, Richard Frank, Clay Tanaka, Gabriel "Jack" Chin, Rex Perschbacher, Anupam Chander, and Leticia Saucedo.
