Professor Chander Presents The Electronic Silk Road at Fordham Law School

Professor Anupam Chander presented his new book, The Electronic Silk Road: How the Web Binds the World Together in Commerce, at Fordham Law School, on September 11, 2013. The event was sponsored by Fordham's Center on Law and Information Policy (CLIP). Associate Dean Sonia Katyal of Fordham Law School provided introductory remarks.

Professor Chander observed that "It was an honor to present a paper in Manhattan on the anniversary of the terrorist attack on the great city that was once my home town."

The Electronic Silk Road: How the Web Binds the World Together in Commerce, recently published by Yale University Press, provides the first thorough discussion of the law that relates to global Internet commerce.  The book has received acclaim from academics, policymakers, and book critics.

Professor Anupam Chander is a leading scholar in the law of globalization and digitization, and has written widely on international law and cyber law.  He is also Director of the California International Law Center at King Hall.
