Kimberly Kralowec '92 Featured in Daily Journal

Kimberly Kralowec '92 is featured in an article in Daily Journal examining the employment case Brinker Restaurant Corp. v. Superior Court, a California Supreme Court case that set guidelines for the amount and timing of meal and rest periods for nonexempt employees in California.

Kralowec was lead appellate attorney for the workers, drafted the briefs, and argued the case before the state Supreme Court.  Recently, she took the lead in filing successful depublication requests in three appellate decisions stemming from Brinker.

"We felt the lower courts had misinterpreted Brinker on crucial issues and the Supreme Court seems to have agreed," Kralowec said.

Kralowec is the founder of Kralowec Law Group in San Francisco. She has been a recipient of a California Lawyer California Attorneys of the Year (CLAY) award and has been named as one of the state's "Top Labor and Employment Lawyers" in a special report by the Daily Journal.
