Professor Chander Gives Book Talk at Google

Professor Anupam Chander, whose book The Electronic Silk Road: How the Web Binds the World Together in Trade, has just been published by Yale University Press, kicked off his book lecture circuit at Google, Inc.'s Mountain View headquarters on July 25. Google offices in D.C. and Europe participated via videoconference, and Google made copies of the book available for free to attendees.

Professor Chander reported after the talk, "Google has played a leading role in connecting the world's people. I appreciated the opportunity to discuss the possibilities created by this new route for international trade, but also the risks of countries closing off this avenue."

Professor Chander is the recipient of a Google Research Award. He is a leading scholar in the law of globalization and digitization, and has written widely on international law and cyber law.  He is also Director of the California International Law Center at King Hall.
