Professor Biagioli to Lead UC Davis Interdisciplinary Research Cluster

Professor Mario Biagioli will lead a group of UC Davis faculty in a research initiative on "Innovating the Communication of Scholarship" that will be funded with an Interdisciplinary Frontiers in the Humanities and Arts (IFHA) award.  The project will involve faculty from various UC Davis departments, including King Hall's Professor Anupam Chander and Professor Madhavi Sunder.

Professor Biagioli's group was one of seven faculty "clusters" to receive funding from the university's IFHA program, which is designed to promote the establishment of new, globally competitive, large-scale interdisciplinary research at UC Davis.  IFHA received 30 grant applications. A total of $3.6 million will be awarded.

Professor Biagioli, an internationally renowned expert in the fields of Intellectual Property and Science and Technology Studies, is the founding Director of the Center for Science and Innovation Studies at UC Davis.
