Students from UC Davis School of Law competed in the 2013 National Transactional Law Meet in Los Angeles on February 15, winning first place in their category and earning the honor of representing King Hall in the national competition to be held in Philadelphia in March.

The regional event took place at UCLA School of Law and featured teams representing 12 law schools from California, Washington, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. The UC Davis team's draft amendment was selected as Best Draft and the team took first place in the negotiations for their category.

The team, which was advised by Professor Afra Afsharipour, would like to thank King Hall students Hank Nguyen '14, Kristin Charbonnier '13, Sean Newland '14, Amanda Baratz '15, Radhika Tahiliani '15, and Kara DiBiasio '13, and King Hall alumnus Mohammad Sakrani '12 for their assistance.
