Laura Shelby '90 Appointed Managing Partner at Seyfarth Shaw

Laura Shelby '90, a partner in the Labor & Employment Department at Seyfarth Shaw, has been named managing partner of the firm's Los Angeles-Century City office.

"I'm excited by this role and look forward to continuing to grow Seyfarth's presence and platform in California in several key areas, including corporate, litigation, real estate, employee benefits, and labor and employment," said Shelby.

Shelby has been with Seyfarth Shaw since 1992. She represents management and employer organizations in labor relations and employment litigation with a particular emphasis in the areas of wrongful discharge, employment discrimination, and sex harassment. Her practice includes conducting training courses for employers, grievances and collective bargaining, litigation in federal and state courts, as well as the representation of clients before administrative and regulatory agencies.

Established in 1973 as Seyfarth's first office in California, the Century City office is one of the firm's fastest growing with more than 90 attorneys. Combined with its Downtown office, Seyfarth now has nearly 150 attorneys in the Los Angeles market who serve clients across the country.
