Professor Lee Chosen as 2012-13 Chancellor's Fellow

Professor Peter Lee has been selected to be a 2012-2013 Chancellor's Fellow and will receive a onetime award of $25,000 to be used in support of his research, teaching, and service activities. Professor Lee will be officially recognized at a reception hosted by UC Davis Chancellor Linda Katehi, and he will hold the title of "Chancellor's Fellow" for five years.

The Chancellor's Fellows Program is supported in part by funds from the Davis Chancellor's Club and the Annual Fund of the University of California, Davis. The Program was established in 2000 to honor the achievements of outstanding faculty members early in their careers.

Professor Lee's scholarly work addresses the intersection of science and society, particularly exploring the patent system's impact on scientific and technological progress.
