Professor Frank Comments on Judge Betty Binns Fletcher for Daily Journal

Professor of Environmental Practice Richard Frank was among the legal experts called upon by the Daily Journal to comment on the passing of Judge Betty Binns Fletcher of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.  Fletcher died October 22 at the age of 89.  In the article, Professor Frank joins Ninth Circuit Judges Alex Kozinski and Stephen R. Reinhardt in praising her record.  Professor Frank said that Judge Fletcher had been at the forefront in addressing environmental issues such as climate change and fuel economy standards, and called her death "a huge loss."

Frank, a 1974 graduate of King Hall, is a leader in the field of environmental law and the founding Director of the California Environmental Law and Policy Center at UC Davis School of Law.
