Jihan Kahssay Wins 2012 Pritikin Prize

Jihan Kahssay '12 has been awarded the 2012 Pritikin Award for the best unpublished student paper in the realm of international law and policy. Her paper "Lessons Learned from Somalia: Returning to a Humanitarian-Based Humanitarian Intervention" was chosen by Professors Afra Afsharipour, Anupam Chander, and Katherine Florey, who judged the competition.

The annual award is sponsored by the UC Davis Journal of International Law and Policy and was established with funding from the Theodore M. Pritikin Memorial Fund. The Fund was established to honor Theodore Pritikin '94, who founded the journal.
