Dean Johnson Honored with Romero Vive Award

Dean Kevin R. Johnson has been honored with the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN) Romero Vive Award.  The award honors individuals whose commitment to social justice and history of working for the immigrant community embody the ideals of Salvadoran bishop and human rights activist Monsignor Óscar Romero. The award will be presented at CARECEN's Third Annual Romero Vive Celebration on March 20 in San Francisco.

Kevin R. Johnson is Dean and Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and Chicana/o studies at UC Davis School of Law. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
