CAPALF Creates Aoki Award

The Conference of Asian Pacific American Law Faculty (CAPALF) has created an award in honor of the late Professor Keith Aoki.

Professor Aoki died April 26 following a prolonged illness.  A beloved teacher and colleague and a leading scholar in the areas of intellectual property, globalization, critical race theory, and local government law, his loss was felt keenly throughout the King Hall community and beyond.  Professor Aoki was an early and active member of CAPALF.

The Professor Keith Aoki Asian Pacific American Jurisprudence Award has been established to honor his life and achievements, making the Professor Keith Aoki Asian Pacific American Scholarship Award available for an outstanding individual who has written or advocated on behalf of Asian Pacific American rights, or explored Asian Pacific American identity, history, or rights through law, art, music, or in other forms.
