Esmeralda Soria '11 Publishes Essay in Daily Journal

Esmeralda Soria '11 has published an essay, "Immigrants' Daughter Makes Good," in New Lawyer, a special report published by the Daily Journal on November 23.  The essay recounts Soria's experiences as the daughter of immigrant farm workers and how she became inspired to pursue a legal education at UC Davis School of Law, "which is well known for its commitment to public interest and its established and successful immigration law clinic."  Soria relates her experiences as a Sacramento Bar Diversity Fellow, a research assistant with the Immigration Law Clinic, and an extern with the California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation, as well as her hopes and fears as she prepares to enter into the job market.
