Marlon Cobar '00 Promoted to Justice Department

Beginning in January 2010, Marlon Cobar '00 will become a Trial Attorney with the Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Section (NDDS) with the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., taking on responsibility for significant international narcotics and narco-terrorism investigations and prosecutions. 
 
Cobar is currently an assistant United States attorney under U.S. Attorney Lawrence G. Brown '89, who had been one of Cobar's instructors and mentors during his time at King Hall.  During law school, Cobar also clerked at the U.S. Attorney's Office where he currently works. Cobar was awarded the U.S. Army Commander's Award for Civilian Service in recognition for his distinguished service as a U.S. Department of Justice Resident Legal Advisor with the Kirkuk Provincial Reconstruction Team in Iraq from 2006 to 2007.
