Professor Joslin Served as Reporter on Uniform Parentage Law Enacted by Connecticut

On May 26, Connecticut became the fifth state to enact a Uniform Parentage Act as Gov. Ned Lamont signed the legislation into law. Professor Courtney Joslin served as Reporter for the Uniform Parentage Act (2017), which ensures that all children have equal access to the security of a legal parent-child relationship, regardless of their parents’ sexual orientation or gender. California updated its UPA in 2018.

Professor Joslin is a scholar in the field of family and relationship recognition, with a particular focus on same-sex and non-marital couples.
