Please join Professor Yuhua Li in this discussion of how to improve police performance through education. Professor Li is Professor of Law and Vice-Dean, Chinese People’s Public Security University and Visiting Scholar. U.C. Davis

Police practices are a major issue in the United States today.  The United States is not the only country, however, that must deal with the issue of how best to police a modern society. In the past a major source of ideas for improvement has been the experience of other countries. China is a vast country with a centralized system of policing that is very different from the highly decentralized American system.
