About the Young Alumni Association

Mission:  The Young Alumni Association was founded in 2013 by a volunteer committee of alumni in Southern California.  Its core purpose is to bolster professional networks among recent King Hall graduates by hosting regular events for young alumni.  In addition to the social component, the Young Alumni Association also aims to: (i) foster mentorship between experienced and recent alumni; (ii) support the law school's recruitment, outreach, and job placement efforts by introducing prospective and current students to the alumni network; and (iii) enhance the visibility of the law school in the chapter's geographic region.

Initial events will take place in the Los Angeles area with a goal of expanding to Northern California and other regions.

Membership:  Any graduate of King Hall within the last 15 years (currently from 1998 forward) is encouraged to join.  There are no dues to pay!  To register as a Young Alumnus, please click HERE.  You may also find our LinkedIn group HERE.

Events:  Young Alumni events are designed to be social and create opportunities for young alumni to get together.  They typically occur on a quarterly basis, and range from happy hours to weekend barbeques, wine tastings, tailgates, picnics, and hikes (the list is growing!).  Events are self-funded by participants and organized by a volunteer committee of alumni.  Friends and family of King Hall are always welcome and encouraged to attend.

Committee:  Shagha Balali (‘06), Nabil Bisharat (‘09), Elana Goldstein (‘07), Caleb Liang (‘08), Liane Katzenstein Ly (‘08), John Ly (‘06),  Jeff Osofsky (‘09), Steve Platt (‘06), Megan Rivetti (‘09), and Jesse Suarez (‘12).
