Social Media Blamed for Failing to Block Fake Russian Posts

Lawmakers took social media companies to task for failing to block false posts by Russian sources seeking to affect the result of the 2016 presidential election and deepenAmerican political divisions. Targeting Facebook and Instagram, the false ads reached nearly 150 million Americans, nearly half the United States population.
