California Finally Has an Official State Dinosaur

The duck-billed hadrosaur (Augustynolophus morrisi), whose fossilized remains have been found only in California, has been officially declared the state’s official dinosaur. A non-meat eater, the dinosaur lived in California from 100 to 66 million years ago. Governor Jerry Brown signed the Bill on September 23, 2017.
