Hate Crimes Rise in California

The California Attorney General has released a report on hate crimes in California showing increased numbers over 2015 , a spike of 11.2%. Although the total number of hate crimes has dropped since 2007 the recent increase is a sharp one. The commonest hate crimes continue to be based on racial bias, the second most common relate to sexual orientation. Discussion at the L.A. Times, and Sacramento Bee.
