President Issues Executive Orders on Immigration

President Trump signed two executive orders on immigration, beginning his efforts to fulfill the immigration policy he touted during his campaign. The first executive order, “Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States”, would withhold federal funding to sanctuary cities . The second order, “Border Security and Immigration Enforcement Improvements”, directs the construction of a wall along the U.S. and Mexican border and increases the number of enforcement officials to remove undocumented immigrants.
