Dorsey & Whitney Diversity Fellowship Program

Eligibility:

Dorsey’s Minneapolis and Seattle offices will each select a first-year law student to receive the Dorsey Diversity Fellowship and work as a 2016 summer associate. Recipients will receive $7,500 toward law school tuition and expenses for the 2016-2017 school year. Recipients who return to Dorsey for the summer following their second year of law school will receive an additional $7,500 for the 2017-2018 school year, and an additional $5,000 if they join the firm as an associate.

*Please note that Diversity Fellowship awards are taxable and recipients will be required to complete IRS Form W-4. 
All law students of diverse backgrounds who attend an ABA-accredited school are eligible to apply, subject to the class year requirement as noted above. Successful applicants will have a demonstrated record of academic achievement and a commitment to promoting diversity in the legal community.
The following application materials are required to be considered for this position:

-  A personal statement addressing the ways in which you have promoted and will continue to promote diversity in the legal community, what diversity means to you and why you are interested in Dorsey
-  Your resume (including cumulative undergraduate GPA)
-  Unofficial law school transcript (if all of your grades are not available when you apply, please submit your first semester course list and indicate when your grades will be available)
