UC Davis Law Review Editor-in-Chief Reunion
Posted By Kevin R. Johnson, Nov 15, 2013
King Hall recently had the pleasure of hosting a mini-reunion of former editors in chief of the UC Davis Law Review. Director of Development Karen Charney led the group of former EICs on a tour through the renovated King Hall, with a special focus on the library and the Law Review space in the new-and-improved lower level floor. The current Editor in Chief, Briana Fitzpatrick, also attended. We then had a wonderful dinner talking about the "old" days on Law Review, what is happening with the professors, and how things have changed at the law school, campus, and in legal education generally. The attendees included Alan Carlson '72, Peter Meier '95, Megan Knize '08, Ryan Stahl '09, and Marissa Martin O’Connor '13, all of whom sounded like they were having extraordinary careers in the law. Peter Meier, a partner at Paul Hastings in its San Francisco office, just returned from a deposition in Toronto, where the mayor currently is in a bit of hot water. Drew Amoroso '10, who along with Law Review publications coordinator Sue Jones organized the event, unfortunately couldn't make it because he had to select a jury for a trial in Riverside.
It was a warm and enjoyable King Hall evening and we hope to make this an annual event!
