The UC Davis Chicano/Latino Alumni Association and “Latino Trends in Higher Education”

I had the opportunity over the weekend to talk to the UC Davis Chicano/Latino Alumni Association as part of an event titled “Latino Trends in Higher Education.” I talked about how UC Davis was poised to effectively serve all our students, including immigrant and Latino students as it moves toward becoming a Hispanic Serving Institution. My remarks focused on our Immigration Law Clinic and the University of California Immigrant Services Center housed at the School of Law.
We had a great group in attendance. Among others, Professors Cruz Reynoso (pictured below) and Amagda Pérez were in the audience. UC Davis Chancellor Gary S. May also spoke, and talked about the Law School's great work serving UC students. We all should be proud of the hard work of King Hall in serving the immigrant community of California.
