“Realizing the Dream: Immigration Reform in 2013” Community Forum

Posted By Kevin R. Johnson, May 20, 2013

This Wedneday, I am taking part in a community forum on immigration hosted by the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). Here are the details from the event flier:

California is home to more than 2 million undocumented immigrants. The recently proposed immigration reform bill could have significant impact on these hard working Americans. As Congress debates comprehensive immigration reform, we must ensure we pass a bill that is fair and reflects the needs of our community. Come and hear from expert panelists about the contributions of immigrants, how immigrants are treated in this country, discuss the current immigration reform debate, and talk about how you can make an impact in public policy.

WHEN: Wednesday, May 22 from 12:00 P.M. to 1:30 P.M.

WHERE: The University of California, Davis, Student Community Center (SCC) Multi-Purpose Room, 1 Shields Ave, Davis, CA 95616
