Pathway Summit and Naturalization Fair

It was a busy Saturday at UC Davis School of Law. It started off with the Pathway to Law Summit at King Hall, with students and admissions professionals from community colleges and colleges, as well as prospective law students, coming for a day of events at the school. We started off with a bang with King Hall alum and Chief Justice of California Tani Cantil-Sakauye '84 talking about her experiences on the path to law school and beyond.

Later, I headed over to St. James Church in Davis, where many law students volunteered to help immigrants with their legal issues; the clinic was cosponsored by CRLA Foundation (headed by our Amagda Pérez) and the Mexican consulate. Many King Hall alums helped out, including Laura Sanchez, Rachel Ray, Aidin Castillo, and Santiago Avila.

Also on Saturday, Professor Andrea Chandrasekher was the organizer of a Black History Month event at the Davis public library that was attended by many, including Senior Associate Dean Madhavi Sunder.
Lots of exciting things happening at UC Davis School of Law!
