Golfing for KHLF

Over the weekend, I attended the Steve Boutin Invitational Golf Tournament, organized by the King Hall Legal Foundation (KHLF). It was a great success!
The weather was perfect on a crisp fall morning at tee time. Seventy-two King Hall faithful played a scramble round of golf and to raise funds for public interest fellowships for UC Davis School of Law students. Steve Boutin '72, for whom the tournament is named, had a special team that included Spyros Tseregounis, the husband of Chancellor Linda Katehi. Professor Clay Tanaka did great work in organizing the event. Others in attendance included Judge Shellyanne Chang, former chair of the King Hall Alumni Board Kathryn Doi '85, and Tom Compton ’72, who happens to be the dad of Assistant Dean for Career Services Craig Compton!
Speaking of Craig, his team won the tournament via a complex tiebreaker. My team included Professor Rex Perschbacher, a college friend of mine Leo O'Farrell, and David Gomez '15, who was the MVP of the foursome.
It was another great King Hall day for a great cause!
