‘Celebrating Latino Diversity through Leadership’ with the UC Davis Latino Medical Student Association

This past weekend, I attended the UC Davis Latino Medical Student Association dinner. The theme was “Celebrating Latino Diversity through Leadership.” I was one of the speakers and talked about the immigration challenges before the nation and some of the great work by our Immigration Law Clinic and the UC Immigrant Legal Services Center.
I met a great group of Latina/o medical students and ate some delicious food. Associate Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Inclusion and Professor of Law Raquel Aldana also attended the dinner. Raquel is a wonderful supporter of our students.
This delightful dinner made me look forward even more to the Lorenzo Patiño Banquet put on by the La Raza Law Students Association each spring.
