Budget and Tuition Town Hall Meetings
Posted By Kevin R. Johnson, Sep 24, 2012
I understand that there is student interest in information about the law school budget and tuition. Over the last couple of weeks, we have been collecting the information requested by the Law Students Association (LSA). My apologies for the delay but we have been grappling with the absence of key personnel. As previously announced to the student body, we have interim personnel now in place.
I am tentatively scheduling two town halls to discuss the law school budget and tuition. They will be from noon to 1 p.m. on October 2 and October 9. The first meeting will be for sharing the Law School’s philosophy of budget allocations and basic budget information. The second meeting will allow for a more complete discussion of the issues. Our hope is to ensure sufficient time for discussion. We will let you know the location of the meetings in the coming days.
As I mentioned to the LSA leadership several weeks ago, I plan to form a Law Student advisory committee on the budget and tuition. Student input is important. I will soon be discussing with the LSA the formation of the committee, including the size, composition, method of selection of members, and charge.
Thank you for your consideration. And thanks for being students at King Hall.
