Alumni in Los Angeles

I had a great and productive visit to Los Angeles last week.
Ron Maroko '86, who works for the U.S. Department of Justice, organized a great alumni lunch in downtown L.A. Among others in attendance were Rebeca Canales '08 (former co chair of La Raza Law Students Association and law student tutor for KHOP) and Javier Barraza '06 who work with the Children's Law Center, Michelle Hugard '10 who works for the L.A. Superior Court, Jeff Osofsky ’09 of the Paul Hastings law firm, Elsie Arias ’00 of Stone & Grzegorek and Bob Brennan '87, a relative of legal giant Justice William Brennan (who spoke at the King Hall 1987 graduation). A few of our current law students were there, too, and Ron Maroko treated them to lunch! I updated the group on recent developments at King Hall, and they were very enthusiastic about the great things going on at the Law School.
I also caught up with Scott Zeidman '90 while visiting Culver City. Scott is Vice President and General Counsel of the L.A. Slot Machine Company, and he's President of the Culver City School Board. He's running for re-election this year. Best of luck, Scott!!
