Alumni Events in S.F. and Sacramento

Last week I spent a full day meeting with UC Davis School of Law alumni. At lunch, I meet with an energized group of alums over lunch in the Financial District in San Francisco on an amazingly beautiful fall day. We had a full house at the restaurant, and I was able to fill people in on the great recent events at King Hall, especially the completion of the building renovation project as well as Sister Simone Campbell's visit to the law school. We had a great group of alums in attendance including Scott McNutt '82, Kenneth Entlinger '02, George Wailes '81, two members of the Class of 2013 (and students in my spring 2013 Complex Litigation Class), Matt Struhar and Heather Cantua, and many others.
In the evening, the Young Alumni Association's Sacramento Chapter held its launch event in midtown Sacramento. An extremely enthusiastic standing room only crowd, including some current King Hall students (led by Law Student Association President Kathryn Bilder '14)gathered to see friends, make contacts, and support their law school. The leader of the Young Alumni Associationmovement, Jeff Osofsky '08, traveled from Los Angeles to attend the event and exhort our alums to support our students and our school. The Association has held events in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Sacramento. I was happy to attend and offer the law school's support for their efforts. From all appearances, the alums were thoroughly enjoying themselves and had a great evening.
Stay tuned to the website and Dean's Blog for future alumni events!
