ABA/AALS Site Inspectors Meet King Hall Alums

The American Bar Association/Association of American Law Schools Site Inspection Committee visited King Hall last week as part of our accreditation review, and we were pleased to be able to host a breakfast reception on March 15 so that they could meet with alumni and friends of the Law School.
We had a great group of supporters present, including Sacramento Superior Court Judge Emily Vasquez, former King Hall Alumni Association Board Presidents Tom Stallard ’75 and Steve Boutin ’72, as well as current President John Schick ’72, and President-elect Kara Ueda ’00. Also attending were Board Members Kelly Borelli ’92, Charity Kenyon ’77, John O’Malley ’98, Alberto Roldan ’92, and Gene Woo ’85, as well as faculty-alumni Lisa Ikemoto ’87, Larry Green ’75, Margaret Johns ’76, Amagda Pérez ’91, and Angelo DeSantis ’08, and several other friends and alumni.
It was a very busy day at the Law School, with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit oral arguments taking place in the Kalmanovitz Appellate Courtroom and news of our rise to 23rd in the just-released U.S. News rankings adding to the hustle and bustle, and I was only able to stop by the reception for a brief time. Still, it made me very proud to see such a strong turnout of distinguished alumni and supporters, and I’m sure the Site Inspection Committee was impressed. Thanks to everyone who attended!
