King Hall cheers on UC Davis Women's Basketball team

UC Davis School of Law had a victorious outing at the Pavilion on Saturday afternoon at night.  Law students, staff, and alumni, including Judge Shama Mesiwala `98 and Bill Mantle `74, watched the Aggie women come from behind to win 66-63 against UCSB.  The team is 6-1 and in first place in the Big West conference.  I was honorary coach for the Aggies and enjoyed watching the game courtside.

The afternoon got better with the Aggie men besting Cal Poly SLO 66-51 in a hard-fought and physical game.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was a reunion of the 1997-98 Division 2 NCAA basketball championship team.  Many familiar faces returned to the Pavilion for Alumni Day. As part of the day's festivities, members of the 1997-98 NCAA Division II national championship team were honored during the game.  I attended many games in that wonderful season and my son Tomas was a big fan of Dante Ross, the amazing guard on that team.  It was fun to wear my NCAA championship sweatshirt .
