Conference with District of Columbia Judges to discuss Civil Rights
Posted By Kevin R. Johnson, May 6, 2018
A law dean's day is never done. I had a wonderful trip to Washington D.C. to talk to the District of Columbia judges at one of their biannual conferences. My topic was the history of the Latino struggle for civil rights in the United States. I was able to talk about some of my favorite cases as well as the current immigration debates.
Professor Frank Wu (UC Hastings) discussed Asian American civil rights history and modern concerns. Thanks to Judge Marisa Demeo for inviting me to participate in what was a wonderful discussion.
