Last year, over 200 attorneys and law students attended the event, making it a great success. As one of AABA's most popular events, the Summer Law Clerk Reception creates an ideal social setting for Bay Area attorneys, summer associates in firms and in-house positions, and law clerks in government and public interest sectors to get to know each other. Additionally, the reception recognizes each year's AABA summer grant recipients for their dedication to community service and client advocacy.

With the help of LSNC board member, Jeff Galvin, the law firm of Downey Brand in Sacramento, one of the premier law firms in Northern California, has expanded this luncheon to all law students. They have a room at Downey Brand that holds about 100 people reserved for July 7 at noon. Lunch will be provided.

Discover the effect of the downturn on recruitment, how to evaluate an employer's commitment to diversity, and continuing diversity initiatives and efforts. Lunch will be provided. There is no cost to attend.
